Leisure program and guide to the science city of Darmstadt reissued
The city of Darmstadt, , has published its newly designed brochure "Active and Informed in Old Age – Offers and Information 2026" . For the first time, the city's leisure program for senior citizens and the revised guide to advisory and support services are combined in a single publication.
The 2026 program once again offers a wide range of activities. In addition to bus trips, dance events, and bike tours, guided tours of Darmstadt and the surrounding area are also on offer. The leisure activities are complemented by comprehensive information on advice centers, support services, and contact points for various life situations in old age.
Mayor and Head of Social Services Barbara Akdeniz emphasizes the dual benefit of the brochure: it combines a variety of leisure activities with important information on advice and support. The aim is to enable older people to have opportunities for social interaction and shared experiences, as well as to provide guidance on everyday matters and lifestyle choices.
The brochure is now available in the city hall foyer at Luisenplatz 5a, as well as at the district offices in Arheilgen, Eberstadt, and Wixhausen. It is also available online on the City of Darmstadt's website.
