Tree maintenance and preparation for construction work from October 7th in Darmstadt
The real estate management department of the city of Darmstadt (IDA) will be further preparatory work for the planned construction of a two-stream primary school at the Albert-Schweitzer-Anlage Tuesday, October 7
On the inner-city green space on the west side of the site, benches and trash cans will first be removed . Then, the shrubs beneath the trees in the west and southwest of the property will be trimmed back. These measures are necessary to create space for the planned soil investigations in the tree root area . The results of these investigations will be an important basis for the subsequent construction work.
The work is expected to take two to three days . During this time, the western pedestrian and cycle path along Albert-Schweitzer-Anlage will be closed . The public is asked to use parallel path along Fritz-Bauer-Straße
Construction of the new primary school is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and will strengthen the educational infrastructure in the west of the city center in the long term.
