Concert on April 4th at AGORA am Ostbahnhof
The chanson quartet Nid de Poule will perform at AGORA am Ostbahnhof in Darmstadt on April 4, 2025. With a blend of Gypsy swing and French chansons, the band transports its audience to a world full of joie de vivre, melancholy, and musical storytelling.
The ensemble draws inspiration from the style of the legendary Hot Club de France led by Django Reinhardt, blending it with their own compositions. Their songs tell of nights on the Loire, life in an Alsatian town, and encounters with unusual creatures such as penguins, snails, and crickets.
Since its founding in 2014, Nid de Poule has made a name for itself on festival and cabaret stages . With two guitars, a double bass, and the distinctive voice of singer Bille Klingspor, the band succeeds in creating an atmosphere that blends melancholy and exuberant joie de vivre.
The quartet consists of Bille Klingspor (vocals), Frank Zinkant (guitar), Gert Rentschler (guitar) and Jürgen Dorn (double bass).
The concert starts at 8 pm . Further information is available on the venue's website.
