Darmstadt Regional Council expands player exclusion system
The OASIS player exclusion system, operated by the Darmstadt Regional Council, now allows for the complete online application of a third-party exclusion order. This further simplifies access to a key tool in the fight against gambling addiction.
Since the end of 2024, self-exclusion can also be requested digitally. Previously, registering a third-party exclusion was only possible via a completed PDF form.
Nationwide protection system
OASIS is a nationwide, cross-game system for protecting players and combating gambling addiction. Individuals suffering from problematic gambling behavior can apply to the regional government office for self-exclusion or external exclusion.
Upon entering an arcade, casino, or betting shop, identity is checked against the exclusion system. If a ban is in place, entry must be refused. This also applies to online gambling permitted in Germany.
