Background: Protection against gambling addiction
A ban in the OASIS system can be entered upon request, either by self-exclusion or by a third party. Upon entering an arcade, casino, or betting shop, the individual's identity is checked against the ban system. If a ban is recorded, entry must be denied. This also applies to online gambling permitted in Germany.
