The last tour takes the OWK cycling group to Haßloch
Groß-Gerau. The cycling group of the Odenwaldklub Groß-Gerau (OWK) with a joint ride to Haßloch . Ten members hopped on their bikes for the last time this year and set off from the Mönchbruchhütte for a roughly 28-kilometer tour .
Nature experience between Mönchbruch and Horlachgraben
The route led along wide paths past the Mönchbruch hunting lodge and the meadows behind it, continuing along the regional park route and the reed line with its characteristic blue dot markings.
Along the west runway, the group passed the Raunheim forester's lodge , where roe deer and a stag were even spotted.
After a stretch along the Horlachgraben , the cyclists finally reached Haßloch , where they enjoyed a lunch break at the quaint pub "Das Brauhaus ." There, several drivers also joined the group.
Thanks to the cycling team
Board member Reinhard Roth thanked the cycling leaders Martin Dammel, Birgit Jüngling , and Manfred Göbel for their commitment and presented them with a small gift. On the return journey, the group had to re-plan at short notice due to a road closure – a task that cycling leader Dammel mastered with ease.
With this tour, the OWK cycling group says goodbye to the winter break and looks back on a successful and varied season.
