Three groups meet in the “Trewwerer Äpplergarten”
The Odenwaldklub Groß-Gerau, together with hiking friends from Trebur and Nauheim, set out on a special evening hike. Led by Reiner Dietz, Daniela Knorn, and Martin Dammel, the 35 participants each covered approximately eight kilometers – accompanied by the play of colors of the sunset and later by the glow of flashlights.
The groups set off from Groß-Gerau, Trebur, and Nauheim and—as agreed, but unintentionally—reached the "Trewwerer Äpplergarten" almost simultaneously. There, the focus was on socializing before the return journey began in the dark.
The Nauheim group's route led through the sandy Seichböhl nature reserve, along the Eseldamm (Eat Dam) and the Luther Trail, while the Groß-Gerauer group used the Mühlbach stream to reach the Oberach River. The Trebur group also reached their destination via the Oberach River. As darkness fell, flashlights ensured a safe return home.
