Author reading on April 21, 2026 at the Hotel Rosengarten
The Literature Initiative invites you to an author reading on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 7 p.m. as part of the "Literary Scene of Southern Hesse" series. The event will take place at the Hotel/Restaurant Rosengarten, Frankfurter Straße 79, in Darmstadt. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
Olav Garz presents his book "Letters That Were Never Written," published in 2025 by Coortextverlag (Altheim). The opening sentence already points to the central theme of the book: letters that exist only in thought and were never sent.
The focus is on people who write anonymously about their own fates. The texts approach personal truths and offer insights into inner conflicts and untold stories. Garz leads his audience into the world of the writers and their writing desks.
Olav Garz was born in Gelsenkirchen in 1963 and lives in Hünfelden-Dauborn. He served in the military for many years and traveled approximately two million kilometers in the field for his work. In 2023, his autobiographical novel "Beim Barras" and the short story collection "Synchronizität" were published by Coortextverlag.
