Groß-Gerau district facilitates recruitment of skilled nursing staff
GROSS-GERAU DISTRICT – To counteract the shortage of skilled nursing staff, the Groß-Gerau district is increasingly focusing on recruiting international nurses. A newly developed "onboarding folder" is designed to support care providers in the recruitment and integration process.
This practical guide was developed in cooperation between the district administration (Social Planning for Older People and the Office for Integration) and the Skilled Labour Force Recruitment department of the municipal job centre. It is available in digital form and provides information and contacts related to recruiting international skilled workers, preparing for entry, recognition procedures, and responsibilities.
District care campaign active since 2018
The district's nursing campaign has been connecting employers in the nursing sector, hospitals, and schools since 2018. It is part of the Skilled Workers Alliance and aims to develop ideas for recruiting and retaining skilled workers. This is intended to secure the long-term care of those in need of care and strengthen the Groß-Gerau district as a business location.
