Information on new heating systems and consultation on March 21st and 28th
Under the motto "New heating system – what to look out for?", will take place in Darmstadt on Saturdays, March 21st and 28th, 2026. Dedicated individuals will open their boiler rooms and share their experiences with various heating systems.
The participants provide insights into decision-making processes, acquisition and installation of the systems, as well as funding opportunities and practical operation in everyday life.
Guidance in choosing a heating system
The event is part of the city's municipal heat planning, which outlines pathways to a climate-friendly and affordable heat supply in the long term. In districts without planned district heating, decentralized solutions such as heat pumps can play an important role.
Property owners can learn about technical possibilities, costs, and practical experience during the site visits.
Registration for appointments is possible via the city's website:
www.darmstadt.de/beratungsangebote
Participation is free of charge. The address of each tour location will be communicated to registered participants the day before.
Energy advice at the BUND center
Additionally, a consultation will take place on March 21st from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND) Center for Urban Nature in Klappacher Straße.
Volunteer advisors from the initiatives heiner solarberatung, heiner energie, and heiner*heizungsoptimierung are available there for consultations regarding electricity and heating supply. Individual home visits can also be arranged.
The city's climate protection office also provides information on current funding opportunities. No registration is required for this consultation.
