The city library will present its online service “Onleihe” on October 24th
Darmstadt. On Friday, October 24 , the Literaturhaus Darmstadt (Kasinostraße 3) will open its doors from 4 pm to 9 pm . Visitors can get to know the building as well as the associations and institutions that are active there in the literary and cultural sphere.
Readings, book displays, guided tours, exhibitions, music, and discussions offer diverse insights into the vibrant network of the Literaturhaus Darmstadt. "We are delighted that the Literaturhaus Darmstadt can showcase its full cultural and literary repertoire on this day – from literary outreach and archival work to artistic projects," said Mayor Hanno Benz . "The house thrives on its commitment and openness."

The Darmstadt City Library an "Open Library Day" on October 24th , "Onleihe" ( hessen.onleihe.de ). From 3 pm to 4 pm, staff will be available to answer questions about using Onleihe and to help with setting up devices. The meeting point is the central information desk at the main branch in the Justus Liebig House (Große Bachgasse 2). Registration is not required.
Head of Education Holger Klötzner emphasizes: “Regardless of opening hours, the city library’s digital services are available around the clock. Come by on the library’s open day – we’ll be happy to explain how it works.”
