Municipal facilities partially closed over the holidays
The city of Griesheim is providing information about the opening and closing times of municipal facilities around the Christmas holidays and New Year's. Residents are asked to take the following information into account when making their plans.
Town Hall:
The town hall will be closed all day
– from December 24th to 26th, 2025
– as well as from December 31st, 2025 to and including January 2nd, 2026.

The last day of operation is Saturday, December 20, 2025. It
will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026 .
The city library will be closed from
December 18, 2025, through January 4, 2026. The last day of operation will be Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The
library will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026
Senior Citizens' Office
The Senior Citizens' Office will be from December 24, 2025 to January 2, 2026 inclusive .
Blue Box and Youth Services Office:
The Youth Services Office will be closed
from December 29, 2025, through January 2, 2026. The last day the youth center will be open is Friday, December 19, 2025 (Blue Box Meeting and Youth Meeting from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
The Girls' Meeting (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) will resume on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 .
Indoor Swimming Pool
The indoor swimming pool will be closed
from December 23, 2025, through January 1, 2026. The last day for public swimming is Sunday, December 21, 2025. The
first day for swimming in the new year is Friday, January 2, 2026. Note
: New opening hours will apply from January 1, 2026.
City Archives:
The city archives will be staffed
December 17, 2025. from Wednesday, January 7, 2026 .
