Enjoyable tour in sunshine with stop at the Gnadenhof
The cycling group of the Odenwald Club (OWK) Groß-Gerau recently undertook a 38-kilometer tour to the Spargelhof Lipp in Weiterstadt. In the best spring weather, 21 participants made their way, led by Martin Dammel, supported by Manfred Göbel and Birgit Jüngling.
The starting point was the shelter at the Mönchbruchschneise. From there, the route led through flowering landscapes to the asparagus yard. On the way, colorful flowers and twittering birds ensured a natural experience.
Once at the finish line, the courtyard restaurant feasted in a convivial atmosphere. In addition to the culinary enjoyment, the focus was also on the exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.
Visit to the basement ranch
On the way back, the group made a stopover on the basement ranch-a mercy farm for animals near Weiterstadt. The spacious enclosures with ponies, goats and other animals were explored. We finally went on to Nauheim via Klein-Gerau and Groß-Gerau. Even a deer was spotted on a field on the way.
At the end of the tour, the participants thanked the wheel management for the successful organization. The OWK cyclists returned home with many impressions after a sunny day.
