Festival on August 31st in Darmstadt
The Friends of Rosenhöhe Park Association will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Sunday, August 31, 2025. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors are warmly invited to enjoy coffee and cake in Rosenhöhe Park. Musical performances will accompany the program, and the tea house will be open for tours. Donations to the association are welcome.
For Darmstadt photographer René Antonoff, Rosenhöhe has been a special place for decades. "Some 30 years ago, I was able to capture the first traces in the snow of what is now the Rose Cathedral for a book about Darmstadt, and I had little inkling of the unique magic of this place," Antonoff recalls. As part of the anniversary celebrations, he is showing photographic impressions, including some of the Spanish Tower in the park.
In addition to the festival, the Friends Association invites you to a botanical evening walk on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. From 5 to 6 p.m., those interested can discover the plant highlights of the month under expert guidance. The meeting point is the entrance to the rose garden. The walk offers an opportunity to chat with other nature enthusiasts in a relaxed atmosphere.
