Festival on August 31st in Darmstadt
The Rosenhöhe Park Friends Association celebrates its 30th anniversary on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Visitors are cordially invited to enjoy coffee and cake in Rosenhöhe Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Musical performances will accompany the program, and the tea house will open its doors for viewing. Donations to the Friends Association are welcome.
For Darmstadt photographer René Antonoff, Rosenhöhe has been a special place for decades. "A good 30 years ago, I was able to capture the first traces in the snow of what is now the Rose Cathedral for a Darmstadt book, and I had little idea of the unique magic of this place," Antonoff recalls. As part of the anniversary, he is showing photographic impressions, including those of the Spanish Tower in the park.
In addition to the festival, the Friends of the Rosarium invites you to a botanical evening walk on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. From 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, visitors can discover the plant highlights of the month under expert guidance. The meeting point is the entrance to the Rosarium. The walk offers an opportunity for informal conversation with other nature lovers.
