Federal election on February 23, 2025 – Parties to vote

The federal election is just around the corner, and constituency 185 Darmstadt is once again in the spotlight. With its blend of urban dynamism and rural surroundings, the constituency encompasses the science city of Darmstadt and 14 neighboring municipalities, including Griesheim, Pfungstadt, and Seeheim-Jugenheim. The election here promises to be exciting, as the race for the direct mandate remains traditionally fiercely contested.

In Darmstadt, as throughout Germany, a mixed electoral system is used: the first vote determines the direct mandate in the constituency, the second vote determines the distribution of seats in the Bundestag.
