Exhibition featuring works by Annette Bischoff and Menno Fahl on display until September 20th.
The new exhibition at Galerie Netuschil, “Pas-de-deux der Farbe”, which opened on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 11 a.m., is a double play between wall and space and a correspondence between the paintings of Annette Bischoff and the sculptures of Menno Fahl.
What you see is an exhibition with format, form, and cheerfulness, carried by the material substance and the visual value of the color! The exhibition thrives on a positive and cheerful atmosphere, which is essentially achieved through color and becomes visible in the interplay of the two approaches, large and small format.
Annette Bischoff discovered abstraction early on and has continued to explore new avenues in recent years, moving from small-scale works and material combinations – sand and paint, for example – to the deliberate use of collage. Her current paintings have resulted in an abstraction that is both expansive and generously expansive. Often pastel-colored and applied in glazes, close to watercolor, the resulting flows of color become vehicles for poetic visual narratives.

Menno Fahl's artistic journey takes him from the wall into the room and back again! He moves equally between painting and sculpture, between two and three dimensions. The powerful and indispensable link is color. His sculptures emerge from found objects, which he constructively assembles and colors: heads, stelae, curious creatures that combine wit and depth. He has even translated some of his pictorial ideas into bronze and painted them! The consistency of his colored sculptures is a rare and unique case in contemporary sculpture.
