Farewell service on June 29th in the Bessunger Church - 13 years of service in the Petrus community of Darmstadt
After over a decade in the Evangelical Petrus community of Darmstadt, Pastor Stefan Hucke retired on Sunday, June 29th The solemn service for the reduction , in which provost Stephan Arras , Dean Dr. Raimund Wirth and members of the church council take part, begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Bessunger Church .
"It feels like I stopped 'from a full run'," says the 66-year-old, who has completed a full program until the end-including several confirmations, services to Pentecost and a move to the new place of residence Ober-Ramstadt.
A pastor with team spirit and commitment
Stefan Hucke was considered an approaching pastor , whose goal was always to convey the Christian message alive and varied. He developed meters of faith , designed special forms of worship and campaigned intensively for the musical accompaniment of community life - often actively actively with the saxophone. He kept his sermons free, and he regularly addressed his words to numerous parishioners.
A special focus was always on youth work , which he developed together with community teacher Andreas Schitt. This resulted in the successful confi-team initiative , in which former confirmands actively take on responsibility. He was also concerned with the monthly lunch table and the “Peter round” senior round - an expression of his cross -generational approach.
Professional stations and outlook
Piggy grew up in Wiesbaden and studied theology and social work in Erlangen and Bochum. After the vicariate in the Peter community, he competed in Schaafheim , where he worked for 21 years, including 15 years as deputy dean. Since 2011 he worked again in Darmstadt - in the place where he was once trained.
In recent years, Hucke has been particularly committed to cooperation with neighboring communities , most recently as a project coordinator , and promoted the youngsters in the parish office as a pastor and mentor.
Now a new phase of life begins for him. In Ober-Ramstadt, he would like to "shape the time without a fixed schedule", learn Russian, make music-and look back on a fulfilled time. "It won't be boring," says Hucke with a smile. "It was a time for which I am very grateful."
