Ex-promotion hero will change FC Augsburg and will be wearing the lily jersey again in the future
SV Darmstadt 98 is recovering an old friend: Patric Pfeiffer is now reinforcing the defensive of the lilies. The 25-year-old central defender, who was already active in Darmstadt from 2019 to 2023, comes back from FC Augsburg to the Böllenfall goal. Pfeiffer will wear the number 6 again.
Return with experience and identification
Sports director Paul Fernie is satisfied with the obligation: "We have been in exchange for a long time and are happy that it has now worked. Despite other offers, Patric has consciously chosen Darmstadt. He has a lot of experience and is also a player with development potential."
Pfeiffer himself also looking forward to the return: "For me it feels a bit like I was coming home. The conversations with Paul Fernie and Florian Kohfeldt showed me that Darmstadt 98 is also the right step. I can't wait to get started again."
Successes and stations
In his first four years, Pfeiffer played 85 competitive games , scored four goals and was a central figure in central defense in the 2022/23 promotion season. After the Bundesliga promotion, he switched to FC Augsburg, where he came to twelve missions. In the past season, Pfeiffer was initially awarded to the BSC Young Boys , from February he played at the 1st FC Magdeburg .
With its return, the SV 98 hopes for additional stability on the defensive and new impulses in the game structure.
