Theatre, music and readings: New event format invites participation from February 2026
is Paul's Kultur(t)raum ( being created in Darmstadt-Eberstadt that deliberately focuses on intimacy, exchange, and intimate evenings. Behind the project is Helmut Mersch, who is fulfilling a long-held dream with this passion project: to make culture accessible on a small scale – personal, vibrant, and beyond traditional stage formats.
The name says it all. Kultur(t)raum stands for space for culture and, at the same time, space for a dream. There isn't a permanent venue yet, but a suitable space has been found for the first few evenings. Other locations in Eberstadt are also being considered in the future. The plan is to host a cultural evening approximately once a month from October to April – featuring theater, music, readings, and other forms of cabaret.
Opening with a theatrical performance: "The Successful Woman" on February 21st
Paul's Culture Dream kicks off on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with a theater performance by the 12-Step Theater. The company is led by Agnieszka Kleemann and Torsten Kleemann, who are known for intelligent, humorous, and socially critical plays.
In Eberstadt, they are presenting the play "The Successful Woman." The story centers on a seemingly perfect protagonist – attractive, intelligent, socially engaged, and favored by fortune. Anyone who gets in her way, however, is in for a rude awakening. The play is satirically pointed, socially incisive, and explicitly not misandrist.

Following the performance, the premiere of Paul's Culture Café celebrated with a small premiere party.
