Midfielder stays permanently at SpVgg Greuther Fürth after loan
The next departure from SV Darmstadt 98 is confirmed: Paul Will will no longer wear the Lilies' jersey. The 27-year-old midfielder is making a permanent move to SpVgg Greuther Fürth, where he already played on loan in the second half of last season.
Both clubs have now agreed on a permanent transfer.
“Paul has indicated to us that he would like to continue playing for Fürth after his loan ends. The focus in recent days has been on finding a solution between the clubs. Fürth met our conditions for a transfer, and we were therefore able to grant Paul’s wish,” explained Lilien sporting director Paul Fernie.
Will joined SV 98 from Dynamo Dresden on a free transfer in July 2024. The left-footed player made a total of twelve competitive appearances for the club.
Will already played for SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the second half of the 2025/26 season. The midfielder made 15 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga and two further matches in the relegation play-offs against Rot-Weiss Essen.
After one year, his time at the Lilies has finally come to an end.
