SV Darmstadt 98 releases midfielder until the end of the season
SV Darmstadt 98 has loaned Paul Will to SpVgg Greuther Fürth . Following the loan moves of Meldin Dreskovic and Leon Klassen, Will is the next temporary departure from the Lilies this season.
Sporting director Paul Fernie explained the move by citing the current competition in midfield: Because of this, it was rather unlikely that Will would have received the necessary playing time at SV 98 to rediscover his rhythm. In Fürth, the 26-year-old is now expected to play regularly and demonstrate his qualities.
More playing time after a long injury
Dynamo Dresden in July 2024 and has made twelve appearances for the Lilies so far. However, the midfielder suffered a cruciate ligament tear in September 2024. After a break of around 14 months, he made his comeback on October 24th in the away game against Schalke.
With the loan move to Fürth, Will now has the opportunity to gain further playing experience until the summer and to return to his previous form.
