Festival in Groß-Gerau offers three days of music, theater, cabaret and family programs
Groß-Gerau district. The "Volk im Schloss" festival opens at Dornberg Castle on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. with a hearty tapping of the keg by District Administrator Thomas Will and Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau. The Pfungstadt Brewery is donating 30 liters of free beer. The Rubinettes from Groß-Gerau will provide the opening music with swing from the 1920s to 1940s.
Friday: Theater, tribute bands and Colombian sounds
At 6:45 p.m., the BüchnerBühne Riedstadt to 1920s Berlin with "Babylon by Night" – accompanied by the Babylon Brass Band. Starting at 8:45 p.m., the SEEED and Peter Fox tribute band Music Monks Doctor Krapula from Colombia leads the way into the night with energetic music at 10:30 p.m.

Saturday: Inclusion, artistry, cabaret and international bands
Saturday begins at 3 p.m. with the inclusion project "Razor- and Knife-Sharp." The Artistokraten will present artistic street theater at 3:45 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. Young rock music will be delivered by DE BREAKS The cabaret conference begins at 6:30 p.m. with Martin Fromme, René Sydow, Sister Cordula, and her young forester.
Gringo Mayer & Kegelband will perform at 8:15 p.m. , followed by Skinny Lister (9:30 p.m.) and Kakkmaddafakka from Norway (10:45 p.m.).
Sunday: Cultural Promotion Prize, children's program and festival closing
Sunday begins at 11 a.m. with the presentation of the Cultural Promotion Prize to the Büttelborn Youth Wind Orchestra. The Büttelborn Wind Orchestra will perform from 12 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., the Stage Factory musical excerpts, followed by a children's party hosted by the DONIKKL Crew at 3:45 p.m. The band Mission Possible with rock and pop classics
Supporting program for children and art lovers
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be childcare, face painting, balloon modeling, and hands-on activities. For the first time, international graffiti artists such as ALIEN , SMOK , and CAZO YOURS their skills live.
Culinary offerings and organization
