"To be confused is human" on two evenings at the end of January
With sharp observation, linguistic precision, and plenty of wit, cabaret artist Philipp Scharrenberg the new cabaret series at the Hofgut Reinheim . He can be seen there on Friday, January 30, and Saturday, January 31, 2026, with his program "Confusion is Human .
Cabaret in the Age of Disinformation
In his current show, Scharrenberg takes the audience on a mental odyssey through an age in which confusion seems omnipresent – in social media as well as in everyday life. Amidst disinformation, constant digital bombardment, and apparent certainties, he poses the question of how fiction and reality can still be distinguished.
Scharrenberg deliberately focuses on intelligent art rather than artificial intelligence. His cabaret invites the audience to think along and thrives on close observation, questioning, and a playful use of language. As an observer of social mechanisms, he moves between childishness and enlightenment, directing his gaze not at "those in power," but at collective action in the here and now.
Excellent cabaret artist
Philipp Scharrenberg is a presenter on kabarett.com , the website of Saarland Broadcasting, and was awarded the German Cabaret Prize in the Program category in 2023. His performances combine analytical sharpness with humorous self-irony.
