The Darmstadt Days of Photography Association presents staged works from July 4th to August 24th
From July 4th to August 24th, 2025, Darmstadt City Church, in cooperation with the Darmstadt Days of Photography Association, presents the exhibition "Imagination" featuring works by Frankfurt photographer Per Schorn . Two photographic series will be on display: "Imagination" and "stumble / chameleon," which impress with their meticulous staging, thoughtful lighting, and strong narrative visual language.
The opening with an artist talk will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 7 p.m. A closing event planned for Friday, August 22, 2025, also at 7 p.m.
Schorn's works, exhibited and awarded numerous times, present a cinematic perspective on scenes that only reveal their full staging upon closer inspection. With meticulous preparation, the photographer creates pictorial spaces where dreaming is expressly permitted. The series appear formally very different – one in portrait, the other in landscape format – yet they are united by a central idea: the power of imagination.
The exhibition is Tuesdays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Admission is free.
