Adult education course reveals new perspectives in the cultural landscape
A special photo hike around Heiligenberg Castle focused entirely on conscious perception and creative image composition.
Eleven participants accepted the invitation from media designer Anja Wolf to the “Smart Photo Hike” through the historical cultural landscape at Heiligenberg.
Taking photos with a smartphone
The focus of the event was not on technology, but on the art of seeing. During the tour, participants learned how to use light, perspective, and image composition to create atmospheric photos – even with a smartphone camera.
The varied surroundings around Heiligenberg Castle offered numerous motifs: from the landscaped garden to the balustrade, the monastery ruins, the cloister garden and the apple orchard.
Architecture and nature in focus
The ensemble's historic architecture was particularly well-suited for architectural photography exercises. The focus was on structures, lines, and interesting perspectives.
The participants developed individual image ideas and discovered familiar places from new perspectives.
Cooperation with the VHS Darmstadt-Dieburg
The event was organized by the VHS Darmstadt-Dieburg in cooperation with the Heiligenberg Foundation.
The cooperation regularly enables educational and cultural programs centered around the historical ensemble at Heiligenberg.
Diverse event venue
In addition to educational offerings, companies and institutions are now also using the special atmosphere around Heiligenberg Castle for guided tours, conferences and events.
The combination of historical architecture, nature and gastronomy makes the location a versatile event venue in the region.
