The Groß-Gerau city library cordially invites children between the ages of 6 and 10 to a colorful summer vacation program-and that is all about one of the most popular children's book heroes of all time: Pippi Longstocking!
On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., the city library at Gernsheimer Straße 5 turns into a happy game and fantasy world around Pippi, Mr. Nilsson and the villa
Colorful. Under the motto "Ferienzeit is Pippi time!" Expects the children a varied program with reading, tinkering, painting and playing. Drinks and small snacks are also taken care of.
"Pippi Longstocking has been enthusiastic about children for generations - she is cheeky, brave, creative and full of imagination. This is exactly what we want to experience together this afternoon," says happily
Laborer Pamela Baer. "We want to show the children that reading is fun and at the same time creating space for their own ideas."
The number of participants is limited to 15 children for organizational reasons, so prior registration is required. And if you want to celebrate, you should also bring a wooden spoon in addition to a good mood - what it is needed for will remain a surprise until the party!
