The Groß-Gerau city library cordially invites children aged 6 to 10 to a colorful summer holiday program – all under the banner of one of the most popular children's book heroines of all time: Pippi Longstocking!
On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., the city library at Gernsheimer Straße 5 will be transformed into a cheerful world of play and fantasy centered around Pippi Longstocking, Mr. Nilsson, and the Villa Villekulla
A colorful and varied program awaits children under the motto "Holiday time is Pippi time!", featuring story time, crafts, painting, and games. Drinks and snacks will also be provided.
“Pippi Longstocking has delighted children for generations – she is cheeky, brave, creative and full of imagination. That is exactly what we want to experience together this afternoon,” says [name omitted]
Library director Pamela Baer: “We want to show children that reading is fun and at the same time create space for their own ideas.”
For organizational reasons, the number of participants is limited to 15 children, so prior registration is required. Anyone who wants to join the party should bring a good mood and a wooden spoon – what it's used for will remain a surprise until the party!
Registrations can be made in person at the city library, by telephone on 06152 – 716 4200 or by email to stadtbuecherei@gross-gerau.de .
The city library is looking forward to welcoming many curious Pippi fans – because holiday time is reading time!
