Investigators seize narcotics in Herrngarten
Darmstadt. As part of the "Safe City Center" , officers from the 1st Darmstadt Police Station, together with the riot police and the Darmstadt City Police, conducted extensive checks in the city area on Tuesday (October 14). Between 1:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., officers checked a total of 68 people in the city center and the Herrngarten .
Drugs found on two men
Right at the start of the operation, around 1:30 p.m. in the area of the Herrngarten roundabout, officers stopped a group of 28 people. They noticed a 49-year-old man several methadone containers with names unknown to him. Police initiated criminal proceedings on suspicion of drug possession and seized the containers.
Investigators also four seals containing crack and heroin 37-year-old man . The drugs were confiscated, and further criminal proceedings have been initiated.
No further violations in the city center
Supported by civilian forces, officers also conducted checks in the Luisenplatz More than 30 people were checked there, but the officers did not find any criminal offenses.
The police announced that they would continue measures to increase security in the city center as part of the emergency program.
