Investigators seize narcotics in Herrngarten
Darmstadt. As part of the "Safe City Center" , officers from the Darmstadt 1st Police Precinct, together with the riot police and the Darmstadt municipal police, conducted extensive checks in the city on Tuesday (October 14). Between 1:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. , the officers checked a total of 68 people in the city center and the Herrngarten .
Drugs found on two men
Right at the start of the operation, around 1:30 p.m. in the area of the roundabout in the Herrngarten park, officers checked a group of 28 people. A 49-year-old man he was carrying several methadone containers labeled with other people's names criminal proceedings on suspicion of drug possession and confiscated the containers.
Investigators also found four packets of crack cocaine and heroin on a 37-year-old man . The drugs were confiscated, and further criminal proceedings were initiated.
No further violations in the city center
Supported by civilian personnel, officers also conducted checks in the Luisenplatz More than 30 people were checked there – no criminal offenses were found by the officers.
The police announced that they would continue measures to increase security in the city center as part of the immediate action program.
