ZAW tours the district from July 24th - disposal possible on several dates
Griesheim. The special-purpose association waste and recycling collection (ZAW) starts this year's autumn collection for special waste on Thursday, July 24, 2025 in Griesheim. As every year, the pollutant mobile a stop in various cities and municipalities of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district. In Griesheim, the first collection dates take place at three locations.

- 11: 00–13: 30 p.m.: Friedhofsweg (parking lot at the cemetery)
- 1: 45–15: 3 p.m.: Berliner Straße / corner Brucknerstrasse
- 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Rewe-Center parking lot, Airportstrasse
Saturday dates at Festplatz Sterngasse (Hegelsberghalle):
- August 9, 2025 , 9:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- October 11, 2025 , 9:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- December 6, 2025 , 9:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Special waste can also be submitted to the collection dates in other municipalities in the district. The ZAW on its website offers an overview.
What can be disposed of - and what not?
Dangerous household waste can be given on the pollutant mobile. These include:
- Lacons and colors (except wall colors)
- Solvent and cleaning agents
- Pesticide
- Old petrol, acids, lye
- Fire extinguisher (in household quantities)
Be not adopted:
- Water-based wall and facade-colored (dispersion colors)- these are not hazardous waste and may be disposed of residual waste bin
- Packaging, boxes or bags
- Car batteries, energy -saving lamps, fluorescent tubes
- Ammunition, fireworks and radioactive fabrics
The amount of delivery is limited to a maximum of 100 liters or kilograms per household and appointment . The container must not exceed 20 liters Important: Special waste must not be unattended or parked outside of the collection times - this represents an administrative offense and endangers the environment and health.
The pollutant mobile is supervised by specialist staff. The levy takes place on site - safe and free of charge for private households.
