New training home for powerlifting through sporting cooperation
The powerlifters of the long-established club AC Siegfried Darmstadt have found a new sporting home at Rot-Weiß Darmstadt 1954 eV. The reason for the move was the limited usability of their previous training room at the Lessing School due to fire safety regulations. Through the mediation of the city's sports department and Mayor Hanno Benz, a cooperation agreement was established with Rot-Weiß, which already has a weight room in its basement.
“This development shows that in the sports city of Darmstadt, even in difficult situations, solutions can be found through intelligent cooperation from which both sides can benefit,” emphasizes Mayor and Head of Sports Hanno Benz.
The powerlifters will henceforth operate as a new department of Rot-Weiß Darmstadt "AC Siegfried Darmstadt" to the outside world .
Quick solution despite organizational hurdles
The integration initially required clarifications on topics such as:
- Takeover of the training equipment
- Insurance matters
- Coordination of training times
- Training room adaptation
Thanks to the excellent cooperation of all involved, the solution was implemented quickly. Mayor Benz particularly praised the receiving club, Rot-Weiß Darmstadt, for its openness.
