New training home for power trivial through sporting cooperation
The Powerlifters of the traditional club AC Siegfried Darmstadt found a new sporting home near Rot-Weiß Darmstadt 1954 EV. The reason for the change was the restricted usability of the previous training room in the Lessing School, due to fire protection requirements. Due to the mediation of the urban sports office and Mayor Hanno Benz, a cooperation with Rot-Weiß was created, which already has a weight room in his basement.
"This development shows that even in difficult situations, solutions can be found in difficult situations in difficult situations, both sides can benefit from," emphasizes Mayor and Sports Director Hanno Benz.
In the future, the Powerlifters will appear as a new department of Rot-Weiß Darmstadt , but keep the well-known name "AC Siegfried Darmstadt" .
Quick solution despite organizational hurdles
Integration initially required clarifications on topics such as:
- Takeover of the training equipment
- Insurance issues
- Coordination of training times
- Adjustment of the training room
Thanks to the good cooperation of everyone involved, the solution could be realized quickly. Mayor Benz in particular praises the receiving association Rot-Weiß Darmstadt for his openness.
