Political scientist Florian Roth speaks at the Open House about resilience and future narratives.
The Darmstadt Network for Political Education announces that its autumn lecture series, "Society of Fear? Between Crisis, Change, and the Principle of Hope," will continue on Thursday, December 4, with another lecture. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Offenes Haus (Rheinstraße 31). Admission is free; donations are welcome.

The lecture focuses on questions about the future.
Political scientist Dr. Florian Roth from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences will speak on the topic of "Positive Visions for a Complex Society." His presentation will focus on questions of societal resilience, the role of civil society, and the prerequisites for a positive future narrative in times of multiple crises.
Roth teaches at the Zurich Center for Sustainability Leadership. Previously, he was a project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Karlsruhe. His areas of expertise include resilience, sustainability, corporate responsibility, and innovation and transformation.

The autumn series of the Darmstadt Network for Political Education is organized by a broad group of sponsors: the Protestant Deanery of Darmstadt, the City of Darmstadt (Office for Communication), the Catholic Education Center nr30, the AStA of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, the Protestant Student Community, the Catholic University Community and the Academy of the Diocese of Mainz in Darmstadt.
The series concludes on Wednesday, December 10th, also at 7 p.m. in the Open House. Political scientist Dr. Marcel Dirsus will speak on the topic of "The Future of Democracy".
