Swing, jazz, rock, pop and more on eight Sundays in the city
The Darmstadt Promenade Concerts return in August with a diverse program. On eight Sundays, audiences can expect ensembles and solo artists performing a range of musical styles from jazz to popular music – at various venues throughout the city.

Sunday, August 3, 11 a.m. – Orangerie Garden (Concert Stage)
Tachtatzis
blends German and Greek culture in poetic lyrics and expressive guitar playing. A musical journey between languages and styles.

Sunday, August 3, 11 a.m. – Kiosk 1975 in the
Gersprenz Valley
. The fusion band interprets jazz-rock classics from the 70s and 80s – including songs by Weather Report, Billy Cobham, and Volker Kriegel.

Sunday, August 10, 11 a.m. – Herrngarten bandstand:
Starlights brass band
performs classic hits in three-part wind arrangements – arranged by solo entertainer Lothar Lang for clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone.

Sunday, August 17, 11 a.m. – Herrngarten bandstand
JazzTime Darmstadt.
A fixture in the region for over 20 years: From swing and Latin to modern jazz – with well-known vocal hits like "Summertime" and "Ain't No Sunshine".

Sunday, August 24, 11 a.m. – Herrngarten bandstand:
Toni Swings
presents unplugged interpretations of pop classics from several decades – captivating and spirited, with jazz as its stylistic foundation.

Sunday, August 24, 1 p.m. – Eberstadt Beer Garden:
Four Miles To Frankenstein –
Rock, Funk and Blues from the last 50 years – with songs from Grönemeyer and Westernhagen to Pink Floyd.

Sunday, August 31, 11 a.m. – Herrngarten Bandstand:
Bigband Erzhausen.
The 20-member ensemble delights with swing, Latin, and pop music – complemented by vocals from Johanna Witan.

Sunday, August 31, 4 p.m. – Schoolyard of Ostendschule Wixhausen:
Brass-On-Mission
Brass Band with a spiritual background and a diverse repertoire – from classical to pop.
In cooperation with the German Red Cross Active Seniors Wixhausen and the Darmstadt Music Office.
