Leisure activities, holiday programs and training courses for children, teenagers and adults
The 2026 annual program of the Protestant Youth in the Darmstadt Deanery has been published. It brings together a wide range of leisure activities, educational programs and events for children, teenagers, young adults and families throughout the deanery.
Planned activities include leisure programs for various age groups, such as an over-18s retreat in Saxon Switzerland, a children's camp at Donnerskopf, and a canoeing trip on the Sieg River. For teenagers, the program includes a summer camp in Denmark, a canoe trip in Sweden, and a climbing trip at the Jura-Alpin-Center in Hirschbach.
Programs for children and young people throughout the year
The program also includes information on holiday activities in community centers, creative workshops for children, and children's and youth church services within the deanery. Confirmation Day and a joint trip to the Youth Church Convention in Alsfeld are also listed.
In addition, the annual program provides information about children's Bible weeks during the Easter and autumn holidays, the children's culture days at the beginning of November in the Petrus parish in Darmstadt , and about the "Faith Lab" format, in which young people aged 15 to 17 explore different forms of faith.
Offers for all generations and volunteers
For several generations, activities such as "Vacation without Luggage" at the end of July and "Pilgrimage around the Deanery" in October are planned. The program is supplemented by information on training for the Youth Leader Card and dates for prevention training for volunteers.
