The book is from the Frankfurt crime novel “Osthafen” (mainbook, 2024) – a suspenseful novel without frills, set in a gloomy milieu on the outskirts of the big city.
Between the underworld, emergency medicine and moral dilemma
The story centers on Alexander Bühler , an unlicensed doctor who provides emergency care to criminals in Frankfurt's East Harbor . When the severely injured prostitute Adriana is brought to him, he can no longer help her – but it quickly becomes clear that there's a larger story behind her death: A young boy wanders alone through Frankfurt, searching for his mother.
