The authors of the book fair in the Ried present their works
On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the Groß-Gerau city library invites you to a special reading on its premises at Gernsheimer Strasse 5 at 7.30 p.m. Prize winners of the Book Fair in the Ried literary competition present their excellent stories - and that with free admission.
Diverse stories on the subject of "in transit"
Literary works were created full of depth, humor and surprising perspectives under the topic of “in transit”
- Jutta Janzen humorously tells of the struggle of a young woman about autonomy.
- Julia Veits focuses on a flight attendant who never matters.
- Robin Dietz inspires with a breathless monologue.
- Tamara Krappmann enchants with a poetic story of the Rhine and the afterlife.
- Dieter Stiewi received the special "horror" special price for his text.
- Thomas Fuhlbrügge was awarded third place for his contribution to organ trade.
Moderation and insights into the competition
The jury members Ralf Schwob and René Granacher , who also give an insight into the literary competition and the book fair in the Ried .
"This event offers a wonderful foretaste of the book fair and shows how diverse and creative the submitted texts are," said Pamela Baer , head of the Groß-Gerau city library.
Involving the book fair in the Ried
The reading serves as an introduction to the 28th Book Fair in the Ried , which will open March 8, 2025 in the Altrheinhalle with the presentation of the current literature award on the subject of "protected area"
