New traffic education trailer for children officially handed over
Weiterstadt. A new traffic safety trailer, named "The Red Knight," is now available for traffic safety education in Weiterstadt. The mobile trailer is equipped with scooters, balance bikes, traffic signs, and learning materials , and is designed to teach children safe road behavior in a playful way.
Last week, the vehicle was officially handed over to Mayor Ralf Möller . The trailer was presented by Helge Franken , Director of Fleet at Sovereign Speed . The donation is part of a nationwide initiative by the Kinder-Unfallhilfe (Children's Accident Relief) charity , which has been promoting child road safety since 2010 with its "Red Knight" prevention award.
Award-winning traffic education for kindergartens and primary schools
The trailer will be used at events and for traffic education in kindergartens and primary schools . The focus is on teaching traffic rules in a playful way and promoting safe mobility from a young age.
Support through local contact
The connection was made through Thorsten Döring , fleet manager at Sovereign Speed in Frankfurt and resident in the Weiterstadt district of Schneppenhausen .
“This trailer is a great support for our road safety education work. Our children learn how to move safely in traffic in a playful way. I would like to thank Sovereign Speed very much for this commitment – and also Mr. Döring for his personal dedication,” said Mayor Ralf Möller at the handover.
