New street name “Am Immerichberg” due to planned August Euler primary school
As the city of Griesheim announces, a section of the southern ring road – between the L3303 and west of Eberstädter Weg – now bears the new street name "Am Immerichberg" . Employees of the municipal works department installed the three new street signs on Wednesday, November 26.
Background to the renaming: New primary school is being built
August Euler Elementary School is being built at this location . However, the existing street name would have caused problems with address allocation, as the Südring (South Ring Road) already begins with house number 1 . Therefore, no suitable street name would have been available for the future school site.
The renaming allows all existing addresses to remain unchanged, while the new school will have a clear and unambiguous address in the future.
Authorities and services have already been informed
Public authorities, emergency services, police, postal service, and other institutions that rely on correct street names have been informed of the change by the city. Private map providers have also received the new data, although updating their maps may take some time.
