Exhibition featuring painting, sculpture and artwork in April
After a hiatus of several years, the "Rendez-vous" returns to the Darmstadt water tower in April 2026. Over three weekends, painter Annette Bischoff, sculptor Wolfgang Aulbach, and musician, composer, and architect OBO will present their works.
It is open on Saturdays and Sundays on April 11th and 12th, April 18th and 19th, and April 25th and 26th, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Wolfgang Aulbach presents wooden sculptures characterized by an archaic formal language. The roughly hewn, mostly painted figures appear simultaneously critical, provocative, and humorous. Their imagery defies easy interpretation and retains a certain enigmatic quality.
Annette Bischoff presents new paintings in which transparent surfaces meet geometric and free-form shapes. Overlapping and intersecting elements characterize the compositions and lend the works a light, open feel.

To mark his 50th stage anniversary, OBO offers a glimpse into a lesser-known facet of his work. On display are graphic designs for LP and CD covers, as well as concert posters he has created over five decades. The selection documents his musical and visual output and illustrates his holistic artistic approach.
To accompany the exhibition, the author Helmut Ortner will read from his book “Gnadenlos deutsch” (Mercilessly German), published by Alibri Verlag, on Friday, April 17th, at 7:30 pm.
