Road construction work between Dreiecksgabel and Darmstadt municipal boundary completed
The town of Griesheim has renovated a section of Eberstädter Weg. The work affected the section between the triangular fork and the municipal boundary with Darmstadt and has now been completed.
Damage to the roadside repaired
Since February 23rd, the affected area has undergone extensive repairs. The edges of the asphalt roadway, in particular, showed severe damage and deep potholes.
As part of the work, the damaged edges were completely removed and rebuilt to improve traffic safety and usability of the path.
Responsibility is shared between two cities
Since the Eberstädter Weg road runs through both Griesheim and Darmstadt territory, the city of Griesheim could only renovate the section within its own boundaries. The city of Darmstadt is responsible for the remaining section.
Work is only possible under a full road closure
The construction work was carried out under a full road closure. Due to the narrow width of the roadway, a one-way traffic management system was not possible.
