Extensive renovation work completed – more comfort and safety for bathers
After several months of renovation, the Weiterstadt indoor swimming pool will reopen on Monday, September 8 , 2025. The extended closure was due to delays in the renovation of the surge tank.
During the renovation phase, the city took the opportunity to implement numerous modernizations in order to sustainably improve comfort, safety and technical equipment.
The following work was carried out:
- Introduction of cashless payment at the checkout machine (debit and credit card)
- New information monitor in the entrance area with current information on opening hours, water temperatures and service information
- Renovation of the dilapidated surge tank
- Concrete restoration at the diving tower
- Renewal of joints in swimming pools and sanitary facilities
- Repair of the shower facility
- Deep cleaning and complete water exchange
- Replacement and cleaning of the filter system
The city of Weiterstadt thanks all bathers for their patience during the construction phase. With the reopening, visitors now have access to a technically modernized and more comfortable indoor swimming pool.
