Help for self -help with tools, coffee and cake in the old town hall
As the volunteer organizers say, the repair café in the old town hall of Crumstadt opens its doors again on Friday, July 12th. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., defective everyday objects such as kitchen radios, hand mixers or lamps can be brought past for a joint repair.
Voluntary offer for defective small devices
The repair café at Poppenheimer Straße 1 offers manual support for small devices - the repair is carried out together with the visitors under guidance. The offer is supplemented by coffee and cake. The aim is to avoid garbage to promote craft skills and strengthen neighborhood.
A look back at the past meeting in May shows the variety of repaired items: from mixer, toaster and sewing machine to a floor lamp, turntable or nostalgia radio, everything was there-with often successful result.
No large devices, but creative solutions
Also (wood) toys or play equipment can be brought to repair. The help for self -help is free, only spare parts have to be taken over at the purchase price. Large devices or fully automatic coffee machines are not accepted. Defective devices that could not be repaired must also be taken away again.
Since the parking facilities are limited, you can park on the back of the old town hall during the opening time.
