Sustainability in action: 34th repair café on June 28 with practical help and technology show
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the repair café Eberstadt opens its doors for the 34th time from 2 to 5 p.m.-this time with a new highlight: a presentation on 3D printing technology . The venue is the Werkhof Darmstadt e. V. in Grenzallee 4–6.
In line with sustainability and resource conservation, the focus is on the voluntary repair of defective everyday objects. Whether electrical devices, bicycles, small furniture or clothing - voluntary repairers help with repair and give tips for further use. Foodsharing Darmstadt e. V. is back and ensures the sensible passing on of food.
New this year: an introduction to 3D printing technology . Expert advisors are available for questions and show the practical example of how spare parts and functional components can be printed on site.
The neighborhood café is open for strengthening and for a neighborly exchange. It offers homemade cakes, coffee, tea and water - served in a relaxed atmosphere. The repair café sees itself not only as a place of help, but also as a meeting point for people of various origins in Eberstadt. The aim is to promote local cohesion and neighborhood exchange
The repair café is a cooperation project by the senior network Eberstadt , the science city of Darmstadt , the Werkhof Darmstadt e. V. with the Nala and the Caritas Center Eberstadt south . Participation is free of charge, donations to support the project are welcome.
Note: Volunteers as well as handcrafted supporters are still being sought for long -term continued existence
