Act sustainably: Repair instead of discard on December 6, 2025
As the city of Darmstadt announces, the Eberstadt Repair Café will open its doors for the 37th time on Saturday, December 6, 2025 , from 2 pm to 5 pm . The motto remains: Repair instead of discard .
Volunteers help with repairs
At the Repair Café, volunteer repairers fix broken devices on-site. Whether it's an old vacuum cleaner, printer, item of clothing, small piece of furniture, or bicycle – experts with the necessary tools are available for all repairs. This reduces waste, protects the environment, and promotes more conscious consumer behavior.
Presentation of 3D printing technology
This time again, there will be a presentation on 3D printing technology . Expert consultants will demonstrate the practical application of modern 3D printers and provide information about the possibilities of this future technology.
Meeting, coffee and cake
A cozy atmosphere is created by hardworking bakers who offer coffee, tea, and mineral water. The Repair Café also provides a space for people from diverse cultural backgrounds across Eberstadt to meet – contributing to local cohesion and a sense of community .
Cooperation and commitment
The Repair Café is a collaboration between the Eberstadt Senior Network , the City of Darmstadt , Werkhof Darmstadt e.V. (with the Nala , and the Caritas Center Eberstadt South . It takes place at the Werkhof Darmstadt e.V. premises, Grenzallee 4–6, 64297 Darmstadt . Donations are welcome.
