New toys and handcarts for the children's play area in Riedstadt-Goddelau
Riedstadt-Goddelau. Great joy for the children of the Kinderland : Thanks to a donation from the Riedstadt Repair Café, the facility was able to purchase new sand toys and a practical wagon. The colorful ice cream cone molds and matching ice cream scoops are especially popular, and the children's sand ice cream café has now reopened.
“Finally, new sand toys – now we can reopen our ice cream parlor!” said kindergarten director Yvonne Dickler with a smile at the handover. Also present were Ute Nold-Stenzel , Uwe Stenzel, and Günter Kleinwächter from the Repair Café, who came to Goddelau in person to see how their donation was being used.
In addition to high-quality sandbox toys, new children's street brooms and a sturdy, foldable wagon that can carry up to 100 kilograms were also purchased. "Now we're ready for our next outings," Dickler says happily. Even before the official handover, the street brooms had to be put into service because the children couldn't wait to try them out.
The Repair Café regularly donates the proceeds from a donation box and the sale of coffee and cake to social institutions for children in Riedstadt. It was founded in the summer of 2019 by master electrician Uwe Stenzel, his wife Ute Nold-Stenzel, and other dedicated individuals under the motto "It might work again – too good to throw away" .
