The workshop on April 25th at the TU is aimed at interested parties
As the city of Darmstadt announces, the city's women's office and the equal opportunities office of the TU Darmstadt are offering a rhetoric training course entitled "Clever countering - Rhetorical strategies against antifeminism and right-wing extremism" on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The event will take place from 10 am to 5 pm on the city center campus of TU Darmstadt and is aimed at students as well as other interested parties.
Strategies for everyday life
The workshop focuses on rhetorical strategies for countering antifeminist, far-right, and discriminatory statements in everyday life. The training provides practical methods from democratic education.
The speakers come from the project "Stammtischkämpfer*innen" (roughly translated as "Pub Fighters"), which is part of the initiative "Aufstehen gegen Rassismus" (Stand Up Against Racism). The aim is to strengthen confidence in dealing with such situations.
Exchange and personal perspectives
According to the organizers, the workshop will also provide a space for the exchange of personal experiences. The event is open to all interested parties, but is particularly aimed at women.
Mayor and Women's Affairs Officer Barbara Akdeniz will open the training with a welcoming address.
