Town hall, daycare centers, recycling center and other facilities closed between Christmas and New Year's.
As the town of Riedstadt, known for its connection to Büchner, has announced, numerous municipal facilities will remain closed around Christmas and New Year's. The town hall be closed to the public from December 24, 2025, through January 4, 2026. on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 7:30 a.m.
Emergency services and accessibility
The cemetery and registry office will have an emergency service on December 29th and 30th , as well as on January 2nd, 2026 , from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Local funeral homes have been informed.
The election office on December 24th , December 29th to 31st and January 2nd at 0151 / 17701271 , each day from 9 am to 12 pm .
Opening hours of other facilities
Daycare centers:
All municipal daycare centers will remain closed from December 24th to January 4th and will reopen on January 5th, 2026 .
Erfelden Recycling Center:
The recycling center will be closed from December 22nd to January 2nd . The last day of operation is Saturday, December 20th .
It will reopen on Saturday, January 3rd , at the usual times.
Büchner House,
the birthplace of Georg Büchner, will be open from December 18th to 21st , from 1 pm to 5 pm , for the last time in 2025.

The Cultural Office

The last opening days in 2025 are:
- Erfelden: December 17
- All other districts: December 18
From January 5, 2026, the locations in Erfelden and Goddelau , and from January 6, the locations in Crumstadt, Leeheim and Wolfskehlen will reopen at the usual times.
