Cultural highlights from July to September 2025 – exhibition, reading, festival and family program
Whether art, literature, or music: The newly published cultural program for the third quarter of 2025 in the town of Riedstadt, known for its connection to the composer Büchner, offers a lighthearted summer atmosphere and a diverse range of cultural events. From a children's book reading and a maritime-inspired art exhibition to a dialect anniversary celebration and an open-air festival – there's something for everyone. The booklet will be distributed free of charge to all households and is also available online.
The exhibition “Seasickness” opens the cultural summer
The opening of Katja Göhring's exhibition "Seasickness" on Saturday, July 5th, at 2:30 pm in the stairwell gallery of the town hall . The artist's paintings bring the longing for the sea to the Hessian hinterland – admission is free.
Crime walk with wine tasting and literature for children
On July 2nd, from "Dr. Brumm Goes Hiking" as part of a children's story time – at 3 p.m. in the Büchner Barn at the Büchner House. A week later, on August 23rd , the focus shifts to the vineyards of Essenheim: author and winemaker Andreas Wagner invites you to a crime-themed vineyard walk with a reading and wine tasting.
The Artisjok Theater be performing this quarter: On September 26th, it will bring the family play "Lieselotte macht Urlaub" to the Christoph-Bär-Halle.
Anniversary, festival and musical dialect
A local atmosphere will prevail on September 13th when the duo "Bees Denäwe" performs at the Wolfskehlen Local History Museum – celebrating the 40th anniversary of the local history society. The musical evening begins at 7 p.m. A week earlier, on September 6th , the Wutzdog Festival place at the Bensheimerhof – featuring eight live bands , interactive activities, and events for children and teenagers.
