Logistics company DSV supports volunteer work with weatherproof clothing
The volunteer drivers of the "rickshaw tours" , a project of the Weiterstadt Volunteer Agency, can look forward to generous support: The logistics company DSV Air & Sea Germany GmbH from Weiterstadt has donated high-quality, weatherproof clothing – including winter jackets, fleece jackets and other equipment.
The clothing donation enables the volunteers to continue their tours safely and comfortably, even in cold or rainy weather.
Trips for more joy in life
The rickshaw tour offer is aimed at senior citizens in Weiterstadt.
- Trips to the Ohlystift retirement home in Gräfenhausen place on Tuesdays.
- Twice a week, we go to the St. Ludwig retirement home in Braunshardt.
- Additional tours take place on special occasions such as the participation day or the neighborhood festival in the Riedbahn.
15 trained drivers volunteer for the project, enabling moving encounters and experiences for older people – all in the spirit of greater participation and mobility in old age.
