Cityring, Landgraf-Georg- and Alexanderstraße affected – detours in place
Due to the Schlossgrabenfest 2025, extensive road closures in the city center from Thursday, June 5th, to Monday, June 9th . The following sections are affected:
- Cityring (Holzstraße / Schlossgraben / Zeughausstraße) between Pädagogstraße and Schleiermacherstraße
- Landgraf-Georg-Straße between Pützerstraße and Schlossgraben
- Alexanderstraße between Magdalenenstraße and Zeughausstraße
Closure times:
- Thursday, June 5, 5 p.m. to Friday, June 6, 5 a.m
- Friday, June 6, 4 p.m. to Saturday, June 7, 5 a.m
- Saturday, June 7, 2 p.m. to Monday, June 9, 5 a.m
The castle garages cannot be accessed during the closure times . Depending on traffic conditions, the closure may also implemented earlier .
Dererance:
detour routes are recommended for eastbound traffic :
- Landgraf-Georg-Straße → Teichhausstraße → Nieder-Ramstädter Straße
- Landgraf-Georg-Straße → Pützerstraße → Heinheimer Straße → Rhönring

- The taxi stands at Ernst-Ludwigs-Platz / Weißer Turm out of service from Monday, June 2nd, 7 a.m. to Wednesday, June 11th, 7 a.m.
- The other parking garages at the City Tunnel fully accessible via Frankfurter Straße and Mathildenplatz
