Egerländer Straße, Baumgartenstraße and Schottengasse affected
In the coming weeks, road users in Weiterstadt and its surrounding districts will have to prepare for several full road closures. This is due to necessary construction and repair work on sewer and road sections, as well as the repair of a damaged cable.
Schneppenhausen: Egerländer Street
Due to sewer renovations, Egerländer Straße between Pappelweg and Im Oberstein will be completely closed from September 8th until December 12th, 2025. Garbage bins and yellow bags must be placed at the collection points at Pappelweg/corner of Egerländer Straße and Im Oberstein/corner of Egerländer Straße during this time.
Weiterstadt: Baumgartenstraße
Following a cable break, Baumgartenstrasse is now completely closed between numbers 12 and 14. Pedestrians can pass through the construction site. The repair work is expected to last until September 6, 2025 .
Gräfenhausen: Schottengasse
Due to a road collapse, Schottengasse will be completely closed in the area of house numbers 10 to 12 from September 10 to 15, 2025. Properties behind the road closure are only accessible on foot. Garbage cans must be deposited at the collection point at Schottengasse / house number 5.
The city administration asks all road users to pay attention to the closures and recommends avoiding the affected areas.
