Egerländer Straße, Baumgartenstraße and Schottengasse are affected
In the coming weeks, motorists in Weiterstadt and its districts should expect several full road closures. These are due to necessary construction and repair work on sections of the sewer system and roads, as well as the repair of a damaged cable.
Schneppenhausen: Egerländer Straße
Due to sewer renewal work, Egerländer Straße between Pappelweg and Im Oberstein will be completely closed from September 8th until approximately December 12th, 2025. During this time, garbage cans and yellow recycling bags should be placed at the collection points at Pappelweg / corner of Egerländer Straße and Im Oberstein / corner of Egerländer Straße.
Weiterstadt: Baumgartenstraße
Following a cable break, Baumgartenstrasse is now completely closed to traffic between house numbers 12 and 14. Pedestrians can pass the construction site. Repairs are expected to last until September 6, 2025 .
Gräfenhausen: Schottengasse
Due to a road collapse, Schottengasse will be completely closed to traffic between house numbers 10 and 12 from September 10th to 15th, 2025. Properties beyond the closure will only be accessible on foot. Garbage cans should be placed at the collection point on Schottengasse near house number 5.
The city administration asks all road users to observe the closures and recommends avoiding the affected areas by a wide margin.
